“Landmarks Virtuosos” hit the Hatch Shell tonight

August 22, 2012

This evening, the Boston Landmarks Orchestra is proud to present Landmarks Virtuosos as a part of our summer concert series at the Hatch Shell. This concert is part of a new Landmarks tradition: featuring our own musicians as soloists. The orchestra is lucky enough to have some of the most talented artists in the city performing at the Landmarks Festival at the Shell each week.

Tonight at 7 P.M., join us as we feature our own musicians like never before. We will perform a piece by Schumann for four horns accompanied by an orchestra that will surely be a crowd pleaser. The orchestra will also perform a multiple instrument concerto to Haydn’s Sinfonia concertante. Finally, the musicians will close the show with Felix Mendelssohn’s exuberant Symphony No. 4 “Italian.”

Landmarks Virtuosos will be a memorable performance and lend to a wonderful tradition for the Boston Landmarks Orchestra. We are thrilled to perform this program tonight on the Esplanade alongside Christopher Wilkins.

We hope to see you there!
