Welcoming the Boston Lyric Opera to the Hatch Shell

August 8, 2012

This week at the Landmarks Festival the Shell, we are happy to welcome the Boston Lyric Opera to the stage. Our program for tonight’s 7 P.M. show will be “Around the World in 80 Minutes.” This performance will give you a chance to experience different forms of opera from around the globe.

Boston Lyric Opera conductor David Angus will oversee the operatic and musical stylings for the evening. The program will feature many highlights of the upcoming 2012-2013 season for the opera. We are excited to hear music from all around the world. The countries featured in tonight’s program include France, Italy, Japan, the United States and even Sri Lanka! At the Hatch Shell, concertgoers will hear the operatic beauty of pieces by Puccini, Wagner, Mozart and Bernstein.

We cannot wait to enjoy the voices of Michelle Trainor (soprano), Caroline Worra (soprano), Heather Johnson (mezzo-soprano), Neal Ferreira (tenor), Dinyar Vania (tenor) and David Kravitz (baritone). Tonight’s concert is an exciting collaboration between two wonderful arts organizations in Boston and we are honored to be a part of it.
